Jacqueline Kiyomi Gork: The slipperiness of sound

Artist Jacqueline Kiyomi Gork discusses Inside You Is Me (2016/2017), a sonic environment she installed at SFMOMA as part of the exhibition Soundtracks. The piece, which features a chorus of directional speakers playing sounds amid an evolving formation of movable walls, highlights the highly personal ways we experience sound — a quality she refers to as “slipperiness.” Jacqueline gives us a tour of her LA studio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WI5rnZJAmEY Watch our playlist of Electric Art: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6LAgXLAqTH-U8TrRprVf702jyGFpfg9s
