New Work

Ranjani Shettar
March 21–July 7, 2009

Bangalore-based artist Ranjani Shettar has recently gained considerable international recognition for her sculpture. Using both modern technologies and traditional Indian craft techniques, she creates environments that are as stunning as they are sensual. This exhibition — the first presentation of Shettar’s work on the West Coast — includes a sculpture exhibited in SFMOMA’s Rooftop Garden, as well as a pair of site-specific installations and a group of woodcut prints.
