California College of the Arts at 100

Innovation by Design
March 23–August 26, 2007

Throughout its long history, CCA has been both a breeding ground for and an embodiment of innovative approaches to architecture and design. It has nurtured creative expression in its students and faculty, and their visions, in turn, have helped shape the school’s identity. This exhibition, a companion to California College of the Arts at 100: Innovation by Design, turns its attention to CCA’s architectural projects and print media — created by its community — as evidence of the institution’s dynamic evolution and manifestation of the enterprising spirit CCA embodies. The presentation includes architectural drawings and models, academic publications, catalogues, and posters, as well as a variety of print pieces created for CCA by its student design group, Sputnik.
