Featuring work from Bay Area artists acquired by SFMOMA over the past five years, this exhibition presents over seventy drawings, paintings, sculptures, and installation works created from the 1950s through the 1990s, including some works that have not yet been displayed at the Museum. The exhibition emphasizes the diversity of Bay Area artists as well as the breadth and depth of work being collected by the Museum. The art of young, emerging artists will be shown along with pieces by more widely recognized Bay Area artists, such as Robert Arneson, Richard Diebenkorn, Manuel Neri, David Park, Wayne Thiebaud, Peter Voulkos, and William T. Wiley.
This exhibition is generously supported by Byron Meyer.
