Administered by In/Site, an auxiliary of SFMOMA, the SECA Art Award honors local artists of exceptional promise with this biennial exhibition. The four 2002 recipients bring fresh perspectives to traditional media. John Bankston and Andrea Higgins work in drawing and painting to address concepts of gender and power. Chris Johanson creates site-specific sculptural installations, while Will Rogan uses the everyday world as material for conceptually based photography and video.
