The horrifyingly hilarious haunted house tale follows a schoolgirl and her classmates on a visit to her mysterious aunt’s house. Based on stories by director Nobuhiko Obayashi’s 11- year-old daughter, the house devours each girl one by one in a series of psychedelic supernatural encounters with evil ghosts, a piano with a taste for blood and a demonic Cheshire-like house cat.
