On the occasion of Anthony Hernandez, the first retrospective to honor the more than 45-year career of this major American photographer, join us for a conversation with Hernandez and fellow artist Jeff Wall, who co-organized an exhibition of Hernandez’s work in 2009 for the Vancouver Art Gallery. While the two artists represent divergent photographic practices, both have explored the interconnection between the social and the physical landscapes of their native cities. During this discussion Hernandez and Wall will explore a range of topics, including Hernandez’s long engagement with the urban landscape of his hometown, Los Angeles.
