Voices and Images of California Art presents in-depth profiles of eleven of California's most celebrated artists through a combination of audio and video clips, artwork reproductions, photographs, and other documents. Voices and Images of California Art debuted in 1995 and was released in CD-ROM format in 1997. The Web version features a redesigned interface and profiles of additional artists including Richard Diebenkorn, Sargent Johnson, and David Park.

Voices and Images of California Art has earned numerous awards, including first prize in the CD-ROM category of the American Association of Museums’ (AAM) publications competition, first prize in interactive media from AAM’s MUSE Awards, and a Gold Apple Award from the National Educational Media Network.
