Ann Hamilton
indigo blue
Explore Ann Hamilton's performance installation indigo blue which comprises 18,000 pieces of used, blue work clothes and a live "attendant" who erases printed text from a book through a dynamic interactive program. This Web-based feature includes interviews with the artist and a time-lapse movie that compresses the work's three-week installation process into three minutes of footage. It was developed in conjunction with the presentation of indigo blue in the Museum's second-floor galleries from May 4 through October 8, 2007.
This feature works best with high-bandwidth Web access. You also can view it at SFMOMA on the interactive kiosks in the galleries and the Koret Visitor Education Center.
