Q: How do I reserve complimentary advance timed tickets for the Frida Kahlo exhibition?
A: In anticipation of the popularity of Frida Kahlo, entry to the exhibition will be by timed ticket only. Offering timed tickets reduces the number of people in the gallery at any given time and minimizes lines, resulting in a better experience for you.
Timed tickets allow entry at half-hour intervals throughout the day, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays; 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays; and 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The Museum is closed on Wednesdays. Please note that only entry to Frida Kahlo is timed; you are welcome to visit any other exhibition in the Museum at any time on your date of entry.
Frida Kahlo timed tickets will be available to the general public for $5 in addition to general admission. As always, members get in free, but we recommend that you reserve a timed ticket to guarantee that you can see the exhibition at the most convenient time for you. SFMOMA members can reserve complimentary advance timed tickets online (75 cent surcharge per ticket) or in person at the Museum (no surcharge).
Your membership level determines the total number of complimentary timed tickets you can reserve each day.
In addition, you may reserve an unlimited number of tickets for children 12 and under in your party (members at the Dual/Family level and higher may reserve an unlimited number of tickets for children 16 and under). A $0.75 surcharge will apply to each child ticket reserved online.

In order to pick up your complimentary tickets, your membership must be current on the day of your visit. If you reserve your tickets online, you must present your printed order confirmation in addition to your membership card at the Museum.
