Architecture and Design Forum (A+D Forum)
Architecture and Design Forum extends and complements the activities of the Museum’s Architecture and Design Department, serving as an open forum where design professionals and enthusiasts can view, discuss, and interpret the urban environment and contemporary objects and images. Members have the opportunity to learn, experience, and explore first-hand the fascinating world of contemporary design through lectures, exhibitions, special events, and local, national, and international tours. The Forum acts as an advocate for good design in the Bay Area by educating its members, the wider Museum family, and the general public.
Dues are $500 per year, $200 per year for Museum members under 35. Prospective members must be SFMOMA members at the Supporting level or higher; those under 35 must be Museum members at the Individual level or higher. For more information, call A + D Forum at 415.357.4025 or email .

SECA (Society for the Encouragement of Contemporary Art)
SECA members share a passion
for cutting-edge contemporary art. This dynamic group sponsors
the prestigious SECA Art Award and exhibition, presented biennially
by SFMOMA. Planning is currently under way for the 2008 SECA Art
Award, and, as in past years, SECA members — along with respected
members of the Bay Area arts community — will have
the chance to nominate artists of interest. In the spring
of 2008, SECA members will participate in a series of six weekend
tours of finalists’ studios. The SECA Art Award selection
process provides SECA members with an exclusive and unique opportunity
to learn about the very best up-and-coming visual artists in the
Bay Area.
By organizing enlightening programs and events, SECA taps into the latest developments in the local, national, and international art scenes, and it actively enhances SFMOMA’s contemporary arts program by supporting acquisitions. Highlights of SECA membership include insightful discussions with Museum curators, visits to collectors’ homes and artists’ studios, gallery visits, behind-the-scenes exhibition tours, and social gatherings in conjunction with exclusive Museum events.
Membership dues are $500 per year and are fully tax-deductible. Prospective members must be SFMOMA members at the Supporting level or higher. For more information, contact the SECA coordinator at 415.357.4031 or via
